13th – 17th November is a week devoted to Enterprise in the UK and here are some of the events going on in West Yorkshire for you to get involved in.
Financial Accounting for Social Enterprises
Monday 13th November, 2pm – 4pm at The Host Media Centre, Chapeltown, Leeds
A workshop looking at the benefits and distinctions between charities, social enterprises and industrial provident societies in relation to accounting and taxation.

How to interpret Profit/lLoss Accounts and Balance Sheets
Tuesday 14th November, 10am – 1pm at St Swithuns Community Centre, Arncliffe Road, Wakefield
Social Enterprise Link and WYCAS have teamed up to provide a practical understanding of the profit and loss balance sheet an d how they interrelate which will improve your understanding and aid interpretation of the figures. Workshops are aimed at providing a practical interactive approach:

Faith in Social Enterprise
Tuesday 14th November, 10am – 12.30pm at ATL Centre for Enterprise, Bradford
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness, facilitate networking, encourage and inspire faith organizations and individuals to explore the idea of social enterprise and engage with service providers in the social enterprise sector. Speakers and advisers wick share their experiences, knowledge and how they can help you progress.

Come along and celebrate Social Enterprise Day with Leeds Co-operative Society. Join us for free advice, information, exhibition stands and workshops from local social entrepreneurs. Plus the finale of Social Enterprise World 2006 – the competition to find Leeds’ First Young Social Enterprise Entrepreneur!
